Ukes for All host a 12 week course of beginner ukulele classes.
Go from absolute beginner to playing your favourite songs in a matter of weeks.
There's no complicated theory or having to practice scales and things like that.
Simply learn by playing songs in a friendly and relaxed environment and having a lot of fun.
The ukulele is easy to learn, you don’t need any prior musical knowledge and it will make you smile!
Beginner tips from tutor Andy
Here are some handy hints for what you'll need:
- A decent ukulele - There is no point in trying to learn on a substandard instrument - it just makes it harder. The really cheap ones (£15) just don't work. Aim to spend £50 plus if you can. It will be money well spent and even if you don't continue playing, you can always sell it on.
- An electronic tuner - The technology exists so we no longer have to tune by ear. They are inexpensive and will keep you sounding sweet.
- A music stand - Always handy to have to put your music on, it makes life so much easier and you may have an old one up in the loft. If not, they are relatively cheap online.
